2. Raising Hope has little in common with the topic of my review; in fact that is why I chose it. This review caught my attention because it is lighthearted and comic in itself. From the get-go it is evident that this is meant to be a funny go-to for long-time fans. The intro opens with a brief summary of the episode “Squeak Means Squeak,” and goes on to compare and contrast the popular cast in an effort to help viewers reconnect with the wacky characters they have come to love.

3. Americans eagerly anticipate the season finale of “Breaking Bad” but let’s admit, the show isn’t going anywhere. It’s time to relax, take a break, and in the meantime let us submerge ourselves with the one show that paved the way for Walter White and the gang. USA’s “Burn Notice” expanded the scope of televised action way before Vince Gilligan’s “Breaking Bad” came into the picture.

Hi Nicole,

You say your template "goes on to compare and contrast the popular cast in an effort to help viewers reconnect with the wacky characters they have come to love." Compares and contrasts the cast to . . . what, though?

Ideally, you would offer some direct quotes in your explanation of the review. Next time.

Also, why do readers need to "reconnect" with characters? Is the review about the beginning of a season, so viewers wouldn't have watched for a few months?

YOUR INTRO:

"Americans eagerly anticipate the season finale of “Breaking Bad” but let’s admit, the show isn’t going anywhere. It’s time to relax, take a break, and in the meantime let us submerge ourselves with the one show that paved the way for Walter White and the gang. USA’s “Burn Notice” expanded the scope of televised action way before Vince Gilligan’s “Breaking Bad” came into the picture."

"Americans" seems an odd choice (and one with some political implications) here (I assume a number of people who aren't Americans also enjoy the show). Maybe something along the lines of "diehard fans"?

Watch this: " submerge ourselves with"; you can submerge yourself IN a show, but not WITH one.

I like what you're doing with the intro, but it isn't yet clear which show you're actually reviewing - you will want to make that clear by the end of the first paragraph or two (I'm assuming it's "Breaking Bad" and that you're using "Burn Notice" to talk about whatever "BB" may have borrowed from "BN". Am I right?
