In his article, "Health Care and the Supremes: Why the right has already won", John Cassidy lays out the game plan for modern American political revolution, one he claims the conservative movement has fully utilized in their quest for judicial power and pursuit of retrogressive ideals. Cassidy adopts a congratulatory tone, allowing him to highlight the ruthless ambition of the current conservative movement when it comes to the courts, without surrendering a level of academic detachment.

Will,
Watch capitalization in the title of the article -- half is, half isn't.
First sentence is strong, but I'm not sure you mean to say that the conservative movement has, literally, utilized a "revolution" (what comes before revolution indicates one hasn't happened yet, as it's still in "game planning" stages). "Pursuit of retrogressive ideals" is really well put, but maybe you mean "regressive"? Maybe not. (And I'm assuming the author alludes to the policies between regressive and this isn't your opinion. Can't recall at the moment.)
Second sentence is GREAT -- very nicely put together. Let's see. To be picky and annoying, you don't need the comma after "courts".
Only thing(s) missing? The strategies you're analysis will cover. Carry on, my fellow SYFY fan.
Two quick things:
" lays out the game plan for modern American political revolution", I feel like there should be an a or something in there somewhere.
Also, maybe a little more of his strategies instead of the single most effective one. You definitely have a better mastery over diction than I do. Good intro overall...
I sense that this was written by someone much smarter than me.
I like it, but I don't totally understand on the first read...not because of the way it's written but because it was a long 4TH of July.
