Post 3 - Rhetorical Analysis

For our third blog assignment I chose to analyze the article by Katha Pollitt titled "What's the Matter With Creationism?". In the article Pollitt seems rather upset that the latest research provided by a recent gallup poll  which indicates a vast number of Americans still believe in Creationism. She argues that belief in God is a step backward for science, and she uses an appeal to ethics and logic as well as allusion, imagery and  sarcasm to aid in the formation of her thesis.

On a personal note I believe both scientific and spiritual knowledge with both hit a barrier unless we can embrace both of these approaches to what we know about "God" and the universe. I look forward to the day that sacred geometry and metaphysics can be taught in the classroom.
