The Darkest Hour.

As Reviewed by a Mr. Kevin Carr, this Film The Darkest Hour, is a "middle class selection" and possibly better if the director had a higher budget. Karr continuously mentioned how the effects were better then he thought considering his view on the movie is based off of the blu-ray 3D version, I couldn't imagine what he would say about it on a basic DVD version. Although his thoughts on the movie were on the negative side he did still have some support behind the movie itself and it was not a total roust.

Mr Karr did admit to it being "mindless trash" but he also said that it was "fun mindless trash." he said it was "quite fascinating to watch as the production seems so much bigger and better than the film itself." Basically stating the obvious, it was overrated. His stance on the film was strong and opinionated but he got it across to his readers what he wanted to say without any harsh putdowns or slaps across the face to the directors. A very classy yet informative say on one man's feelings for a film and at the same time not too biast, just to the point.

At the tail end of his review he did end it on a negative note. He said that he would "not be ashamed to say that wouldnt watch a sequel. " Which is understanding due to the rather quick and unsatisfying ending this film leaves off at. Out of most reviews that are done on this film, this one seems to be one of the nicer ones. While others put down this movie with blunt force, Kevin Karr does give it a negative review but one with understanding and honesty.

To me listening to a reviewer complain and whine why a movie had flaws and could of been better, isn't my idea of a good passing of the time. Or better yet an encourager to see or not too see a movie. A good. Honest, strait to the point say on a movie is quite refreshing and that is the one one I have read. I have to give him a thumbs up if not two thumbs up.

I completely agree with your point about reviewers complaining and whining.

I also agree with the negative attitude that critics have but it is nice to read a critic's review about having a positive reaction towards a movie.
